Vienna, clean as a whistle, is the capital of Austria. When I was little the only thing that I knew for this magnificent city was that there is the New Year Concert that every 1st of January I watched. When I went, for the first time, for the New Year (2017) I understood why a lot of people tell that it worth it’s weight in gold. Expensive it might be, but dull it isn’t. It was like I was travelling trough time. From the modern shops and cafes to the ancient buildings.
I don’t know what words to use to describe the food. I was there during the Christmas holidays and the bazar in frond of the City Hall was so magical that I forgot where I was. “Gluh Wein” and bagels was my main meal during the vacation. You need to know that I can’t cheat on my diet, which is pizza and pasta. And Because of that my favorite place to eat was “La Sosta” (Schauflergasse 6, 1010 Wien). I won’t tell you anything so you are going to be surprised I bet that you will go to eat there everyday.
Tips from me : Reserve a day for the tower in Donau Park. Although up there is extremely windy and scary it is an absolute must to be visited and the park around is great for a walk. If you LOVE sweets as much as I do then I have the best shop for you - La Cure Gourmande Vienna! Literally I took home somewhere around 2-3 kg and eat them for a day or two. They are great present for chocolate lovers.
